New job, Car or Flat?

I'm 23, live at home but have it quite sweet.
Pay rent to my parents every month and have just got a nicely paid new job.

They want to move to Wales, as my dad mainly works from home (conference calls and the sort), and they would like to retire there.

Start a new job next month, have been looking forward to it for nearly 8 months now (stupid recruitment process at airports).

Currently drive a Seat Ibiza Cupra R with 210bhp, fun car to drive but have my eyes set on a Honda S2000.

I also would like to move out and get my own place.

Do I buy a S2000 and then see how much I can afford on a flat or do I move out and see how much I can afford on a car? I'm not looking to spend massive amounts anyways. Have set a limit of £7,500 on a car and over a 3 year deal with part ex it doesn't work out too much.

So guys, what should I do?

I still live at home and am moving out this year aged 28 because I spunked all my money on crap and got myself in trouble with money.

If I'd have been sensible, I'd have been out years ago, and would have the same amount of stuff to show for it - nothing!

Move out, you're in a good position being able to afford it, loads of people your age can't.

Flat straight away, you may find that you struggle with the car you have. Saying that, we don't know your wage but still, I'd go with the flat first.

The car is a 2001 Ibiza Cupra R with 115,000 miles on it.
I'm going to be working as an Airport Security Officer so mid to high £20ks wage.

Just don't buy the car yet. As much as it'll be fun, cars inherently loose value (like most things really but thats not the point) and probably isn't the best priority if you are just looking to move out for the first time.

Will you be buying a house or renting?

Ive been dreaming of both for a while, I doubt it'll be long in between the two purchases/rent or whatever you want to call it.

Was just thinking S2000 would be cheaper to buy now than in the summer.
