how to root kindle fire 10.2.6?

Tried all night to root my new kindle fire. Installed the drivers and the sdk. Got past the runme.bat and it said on the pc it was rooted however on root checker on the tab it says busybox is installed but I dont have root access. Help is appreciated.

Already have a 16gb nexus. Tbh I only bouvht it as it was reduced to 69 pounds. I wanna put drois on it and use it as my in car entertainment.

to let you guys know, this is dead and buried. accidentally wiped rom and everything off now cannot access it to re install rom.
not too fussed, it was a gimmick anyway, still gotz my note 2 and nexus 7 to entertain me.

ive donated it to a friend whos modifying his car dash to implement a tablet as ICE.
hes gonna use it as a template, so he doesnt need to worry about chopping this one up or damaging it, and once hes got the design and fitment sorted, he will be putting his nexus 7 in.
charitable deed done.
