Bought a h80 but its faulty so im sending it back,

Need a cpu cooler to replace and needs to fit in a nzxt phantom case can be either air or clc just needs to keep temps low

Thanks

The megahelims is a great cooler, though i dont think you can fit 140mm fans on the standard silver version. The blue, red, black and the super mega, (silver with copper insert fins) can definitely take 140mm fans. I had the supermega, it used a different style of mounting bracket than the standard model. Pic of it with 140mm yate loons fitted.

Megahelms is a great cooler with tall RAM. Mount Doom with Low profile modules.
Agreed, currently on a k2 mount doom that was bought as a replacement for the supermega. Seen an 8c temp drop on the i7 920 @4.2ghz in the pic above, (77c-69c on highest core). Like you say, the mega is great for tall ram, used it with ocz reapers. The megahelims though needed high speed fans to get the best from it, in my case akasa vipers. Quite loud at full speed, whereas the stock k2 fans are a lot quieter. Of course the larger surface area of the k2 makes a difference too.

Id still reccomend the megahelims though. As a single tower cooler it is a great peice of kit. Do you have a fan/s you can put on it? As once you factor in the cost of new fan/s it can end up pretty expensive.
