MSI 7950 vs Gigabyte 7950?

Hey guys, looking for some advice.

I bought a Gigabyte 7950 + waterblock only to find the 7950 is possibly a 7970 reference as its rev 2.0 instead of rev 1.0, annoying doesn't say on OcUK page. So I just bought an MSI 7950, if it's a reference 7950 I want to watercool it with my waterblock I have. If not them I have to choose between them.

Which card is going to be better in general, such as overclocking room?
 
ive got an MSI which over clocks lovely on air. I had a sapphire before which did the same. Just avoid reference and XFX and you should be fine.
