Banger 3 months on. Contains Italian sorry.

I was joking, but it seems he really does have issues!

Unfortunately I am not. When I can get a snap you have got to see these wheels. They are gorgeous, real 5 series pron for any year. I will try tomorrow as it isn't here at the moment.

He only fitted them since I got the Alfa too, lol

Shame they don't fit your Alfa, if he was angry at you being quicker his face would be amazing if he saw his expensive wheels on your car. :p

I am not 100% from memory but they look very much like these:

On a car identical type and year to this.

To prove I am not kidding you I will get a true pic at first opportunity, hopefully tomorrow morning. Has to be seen to be believed.

Edit: If you look at my OP second pic, he parks near the wonky street sign in the background so shouldn't be difficult.

Very tidy car for £600!

Is the passenger side front door a different colour or is it just the picture?

I am glad you said that as I noticed it earlier in pics. In true daylight it looks fine to me. I have not had time or the weather to polish or wax so I will post when done. I am hoping it is just the light as it seems fine to me in general.

Being red they do have a habit of oxidizing and Alfa paint isn't exactly the greatest quality. All I have done up till now is a wash and leather.

After seeing this I've been looking at 147's! What have you done to me!! :p

Just know what you are getting into. They will cost no more than a Ford or Vauxhall to buy but will in maintenance. But you don't buy an Alfa for top notch reliability, 0-60 times or equipment. They are drivers cars, no fancy electronics, just you and the car.

You will need a thick skin as you will get constant reliability jibes, some justified others overstated.

Service history is the key, get a good one and you will love it. Forget paper performance figures, they are guaranteed a smile on your face every time you turn the key.

I had a black 2.0ts 156, and tbh i regret getting rid, even the missus tells me i was stupid :O couldnt afford to run a v6 now though.

For the money it is a bargain, and looks good for it to.

Well, the front door handles obviously

Not being awkward but the question was, Is the 156 the first car with hidden rear door handles, the answer is YES, it was designed to look like a Coupe with saloon practicality.

The Fiat which might share the style, is a coupe, and has no rear doors so is irrelevant.

LOL FAIL ALFA DOOM. It will explode and ruin you! My mates, mates, doctors, house keeper had a sister whose neighbour had an Alfa that was always going wrong. :D

Fair point.

But I would like to note that I did fully understand the question originally asked but was merely pointing out that the fiat coupe did indeed have hidden handles.

Not being awkward but being a previous Fiat Coupé owner I am well aware they have no rear doors.

Nice sounding engine them 2.5 156's. Decent enough power output too comparing to both BMW's 2.5 with either 170BHP or 190BHP.

That looks like a nice car, really good for the money you paid, I bet it's a nice drive too :)

I like it, can't beat the sound of the V6 either. A friend of a friend turned up one day in an even older Alfa with a V6, the thing had about as many buttons as a cockpit but it sounded epic.

I paid £900 for my car and I've spent over that on it last year alone. Add in tyres, insurance and fuel then the purchase price seems insignificant really. I now know what has been done and what needs done next.
