Last time I drove Knockhill was back in 2011 and I wrote this Report afterwards. I had a great time and was hoping to get there last year, but no full OPL days meant that didn`t happen. Unfortunately, there didn`t appear to be any full OPL Days this year either. It`s over 5 hours traveling for me, so a half day or evening simply isn`t worth it. :(

I spoke to Knockhill directly they are running a full OPL day to see how it goes. If they get sufficient attendees, they`ll look at running future events.

People say I can be agressive with Kerbs, I don`t know what they mean... lol

I`ve booked myself on the day, they are limiting it to 50 Cars maximum, so overcrowding shouldn`t be an issue at all !. :D

To book, you need to ring the circuit on 01383 723337 , Option 2 for Trackdays then speak to Carrie to book yourself on.

I`m staying at the Dunfermline Travelodge on Friday & Saturday night, then back home Sunday. I know its a long trek, even more so for those who live further south than me, but IMO, it`s worth doing. OK, it may be a short circuit but there are enough sections to make it interesting. You don`t need loads of Horsepower to enjoy it either.

Anyone else fancy joining me for a trip north of the border ?

Hi Nige,

It's very likely I will be booking this! Do you know where else they will be advertising the trackday? And when do I need to book buy?

It's a week before my holiday, but I will save up so I can go to this too!!

I'd be well up for this...if only I had anything worth taking onto the track!

Knockhill is a great little circuit for anyone interested, my biggest gripe before was the number of cars waiting to get out on track which meant you were very limited with number of sessions.

Ross, eventually it`ll be on the Knockhill main site, but they only gave it the go-ahead a couple of days ago.

I agree, a large number of cars can mean queuing, but with them limiting the cars to 50, that hopefully won`t be an issue :) Oh and it`s not sessioned, it`s open pitlane.

Always wanted to do knockhill, but im in the same boat as skeeter. 1000 miles is rather a long way to drive :p
I can understand that. It`s just about a 600 Miles round trip for me.

As it`s so far it isn`t a circuit I`d do regularly, but I feel it`s good enough to warrant a trip, especially if I`d never done it.
