Nooooooooooooo psu gone pop!

That's harsh. Hope the rest of your bits are all OK. Seasonic are supposed to be good, hopefully it has decent surge protection or whatever it needs.

Just tried a different cable, no joy, plugged it straight into mains incase surge protection on my extension kicked in, no hum, nothing, ahhhhh, no pc for the wkend!

It should'nt've done. I had 2 seasonic based PSU's go pop on me (Corsair HX) & both systems carried on as normal after replacements. :)

Is 1000w really necessary? :p I also had a Seasonic made Corsair go amiss but luckily there was no pop, were some electronic problems at the accommodation though :p

Currently running another Seasonic unit although when I RMA the Corsair might sell both and go with a modular :)
