Note 2 or GS4

My contract is up and going from a iP4 to either a Note 2 or should I at least wait to see what the GS4 gives us. The specs are more or less out there in rumour forms so will there be a huge leap in tech between these 2 phones.

What about alternatives? Have you had a look at the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Blackberry Z10?

I own the Samsung windows phone, sgs, sgs2, sgs3 and the note 2 and I'm happy with all of them. Tech wise they very much different but they sure do function so you wouldn't notice. Note2 is a fantastic piece of kit to go for right now. You wont be disappointed. Remember you pay more for a newly released phone.

He just mentioned other platforms as alternatives? Unless that's what you meant?

Definitely wait, however in the mean time you might as well pop into a local store and try out the Note 2/S3 just to get a feel for Touchwiz. If you like it, great, however if you don't and prefer stock Android, avoid Samsung.

Other devices such as the HTC One are worth a look as well.

I have been watching a lot of youtube vids on the Note and even HTC and Nokia flagships but I think I will go with the note 2....it is a monster screen size coming from an iPhone but I am a big man and need a big phone....lol

Never regretted buying my Note 1 - size takes a bit of getting used to but having that screen estate and resolution is so worth it.

Personally would get the S4 over the Note 2 without even know what it is. Slightly smaller form factory will make a big difference I believe, better screen and better tech inside it as well. Unless you intend to make use of the stylus.

Well by the time I am taking to get the Note 2 the S4 will prob be launched.....nobody throwing in a free case for me not even Phones 4 U

I think the screen size and pretty sure I will use the stylus a lot.....screen quality I am happy with current state of affairs.....even my home TV is not HD and am happy enough with that.

Too late I got the Note 2.....Android is bloody amazing why did I stick with a relic of an OS in iPhone
