Hi all,

Just received a PNY GTX680 from ebay. I decided to test it on EVGA OC Scanner at stock clocks, and it's producing a lot of artifacts. It's not actually crashing, just artifacting. Is this a screwed card or is there something I could be doing wrong here?

Thanks

See if the same happens after you lower the default clock speeds try lowering it 10-20 mhz, could be that the card cant do the default clock speed on said voltage.
Watch the temps too if really high could try reseating the cooler with fresh paste. Also try a few other GPU testers I like heaven benchmark for that.

if the card is dud I wouldn't worry about it, you have PP and ebay on your side and will always side with you.

I wouldn't trust OC scanner. My 7870 would show artifacts without any overclock yet I could overclock it and it wouldn't artifact or crash in games. Now with my 680 overclocked I overclocked it to 1300/1800 and it ran OC scanner fine without any artifacts but in games it would crash near enough instantly. Needed to back off to 1250/1750 before it worked.

Since I upgraded to 12.11 drivers on my 7970 my card artefacts like hell, well it's like visual glitches. But this is only when running BOINC and never get it during games.
