Funds are slightly stretched buying Silva & IF Sirigu.. How viable would a cheaper option to that work out? Lloris GK, Kompany CB.. Thoughts?

Also If I were to change my LF/RF and ST from the Prem what do you think to LF - Nani RF - Ben Arfa then ST Podolski or RVP?

Apple Key + Shift + 3 is a full screen screenshot.

Apple Key + Shift + 4 is to select a specific area with a selection tool.

Apple Key + Shift + 4 and then space afterward allows you to choose an active window to take a screen shot of. So while there's no print screen button it's still built in. :p
 
Just won a cracking cup final 3-2 against the best/most expensive team I've seen.

All TOTY apart from Bale, Robben and Ribery who I presume were all IF. Not a great player by any means though. I went 2 up from 2 corners where he brought his keeper out, cue Ogbonna and Balotelli (Serie A 4312) to nod over Casillas.

As much as I'd like a star studded team of TOTY/IFs I'd take a well thought out team over lumping a load of top rated players together anyday.

Have bought IF Palacio for 129k also.

How is IF Palacio? Tempted get him in 4231 either cam or cf!
 
Only played 2 games (1 in rain) but I am liking him so far. His pace matched with his dribbling is great especially if you link to jink in and out/sharp turns. His shooting seems good so far though not really had much opportunity to test yet. Have paired him up front in a 4312 with Balotelli and Cassano just behind in CF. Looking to try Di Natale in the CF position though as Palacio replaced him at ST.

Looking to also try him as ST in a 4321 with Lavezzi and Di Maria wide. Will post again once I've had a few more games.
 
Didn't fancy spending so much on a keeper! But definitely paid off with Lloris pulls off some wordly saves at vital times usually. I also gave Kompany another go again I didn't fancy spending that much on a single player not amazed but I can't fault him too much and finally Maicon very expensive but very good player liking him deffo makes my team solid at the back he has those pace abusers playing 4-3-3 under his thumb due to strength.

Couldn't win a game yesterday after winning Div 1 without losing a game, won Div 2 without losing a game and now current in Div with 19 Points and 3 games left (6-1-0) no idea what was going on yesterday (I blame the game, not me ofc :P)

Also id this first of all trying the formation I was fine attacking but when it came to my midfield and defence I struggled and it was almost none existent alway's out of position.. Although I LOVED Di Maria his pace, his tricks and how he has a rocket of a left foot! Which gave me an incentive to make a Hybrid Prem/Arg as below:
---- Tevez ---- (9 Chem)
-Lavezzi - Di Maria (Both 7 Chem)
-Nasri - Toure - Siva (All 9 Chem)
-Cole/Clichy - Vermalen - Kompany - Maicon (All 9 Chem)
---- Lloris ---- (9 Chem)

So I normally play with a 4-1-2-1-2 but think I need a change of formation. I need to be more solid and less predictable going forward. I've heard good things about the 451 formation. Does anyone use it? What formations do you favor? I know 352 was popular but I find it easy to play against - just cross the ball from wide.

Brave.

I tried all manner of formations for a La Liga team and although it was amazing a lot of the time, if you go for high rated the handicapping is pretty horrible to get round due to the lack of real pace up front and in midfield.

Could try:

Casillas
Pepe Ramos Miranda
IF Busquets Essien
Navas Ozil IF Guardado
Benzema Adrian

I'm fully converted to silver teams now, before broken record pipes up, I only participate in silver tournies ;)

I find the games a lot more enjoyable, a lot harder to break teams down resulting in a lot more even matches. Shame the keepers are so poor mind, long shots are still just as OP as they are for gold players.
 
Ended up with this

It's ridiculously good!! Think the defenders all have ridiculous aggression and Martinez, Busquets and Cazorla play some amazing one touch stuff in the middle.

Might try Xabi Alonso instead of Martinez though, he's not quite as good at passing as the others.
