Girls pinch my butt in clubs all the time, am I now a rape victim or a victim of a serious sexual assault?

No. It's only wrong if men do it, obviously, because men are the oppressors and women are the oppressed and the same actions are therefore completely different because blahblahblah war on women blah blah blah patriarchy.

Or, from a "moderate" point of view, it's wrong in itself but not really and certainly nowhere near as wrong as it is when a man does the same thing.

Group politics, especially biopolitics, is such a lovely thing.

He got banned for that? Although I don't agree with what he said, people have said far worse and not been banned.

How have I not banned you yet? Let's remedy that.

Are you not allowed to hold that opinion on these forums?

I don't want to get graphic, but it's not exactly hard to visualise two rape scenarios, one of which is more serious than the other.

Edit: I see the your above post. :)

Rape is rape. To consider one more serious than another is only trying to justify rape, which of course is stupid.

Yeah I know rape is rape and all rape is "serious".

The seriousness I'm referring to is based on the variable amount of physical/emotional harm inflicted.

I see your point but if you were at the scenes of two incidents where a wife was reporting her husband for raping her and she was unmarked and a scene where a woman was nearly beaten & stabbed to death, you wouldn't find one more serious than the other?

Yes, one is a murder.

So rape is only serious or actually qualifies as rape if there is physical violence to go with it??

Rape is rape no matter how you look at it or how it was carried out. Unconsensual sex is unconsensual sex.

I think what Burnsy is saying is that Rape is always a serious crime, it doesn't come in degrees and while the level of brutality or the details are different in every case, we should not be attempting to justify or devalue a case of Rape by comparing it to another case of Rape.
