SimCity V (2013) - screens/artwork and information

Looks like i'm not playing again tonight, created my first city just to experiment on Euro East 4 which now has a 30 minute queue which I stupidly went into select a server 15 minutes in and clicked it again so now reset to 30 minutes. Spent an hour and a half to get to where I was, don't want to join another server and start another city for no reason. I don't understand how Maxis/EA are telling people we're adding more servers etc the whole game is about putting hours and hours into building a successful city yet your city is saved to the server so putting up new servers doesn't help anyone when you cant transfer cities.

Me2. if theres a concensus that EUW6 is dead then I'd like a slot in a dedicated region where people dont give up (Coasterjunkie)!
 
Really sorry if this is a common question, but do the servers kick others often? which then requires a restart of the game? getting to the annoyed stage of gaming now :mad:

Games giving me the rage and I've not even managed to play the damn thing yet. Keeps giving me errors whilst trying to do the "Processing large file" section after Install :mad:

Error is "check you are connected to the internet" and the connection is fine so it's obviously some error to do with how busy their servers are I guess. Raaagh

check my 3 neighbours all gave up , one wiped his city and as you can see its just ruined.

The only way I can play the city I took over is if someone gives me a lot of money to pay off all the bonds the previous owner took out before.

I need to better understand how the game works too as I haven't got my head round density yet :(.

Anyone got any good links / information on it?
 
Can someone save me a spot in one of their servers? Should be on in an hour or so. Origin in sig. I pinky promise ill not abandon :)

Density is about happiness, services and time. Bus stops and school with school bus stops and enogh classrooms are the two most important it seems. As long as its got a green arrow going towards the left it'll slowly improve over time. If there's no arrow, you need to get some services up.


It's a bit crap how the road in is always congested and you can't connect more entrences/exits up.

I know this will be a stupid question but I need 'department of such and such' to build certain things like education or utilities... but I can't find them? :/ I don't have casino's either. Do these things come in the collectors editions or am I being blind? :')

That's due to land price.
If you click on the building,
You got to bars. Top one is land value, that tells you want tenants you will get. Mansion is top ones, which have more money but are fussy.
The lower bar is density. You need services and time. You can't instantly get density, it needs time but still only works if they are happy.

Department is in city hall, click on edit. Can only build one department per level by the looks of it.

Ore/gambling etc, is the little shield thing on left hand side "city specialisation"

I get what you're saying, I just still need some sort of picture / video to highlight this for me!

I have zero problem getting mansions and expensive housing I just don't seem to be able to sort density out :(. It's driving me mad and it's holding back my population.
