Anybody from around sunderland ? Going to pick a friend up and staying overnight. Any nice pubs/bars and place to eat ?
My nearest town is leicester and its not as bad as that.

If it's a Friday/Saturday the bars/clubs are full of lads more tanned than your average Spaniard and geared up to the eyeballs on steroids. Avoid Passion and Cooper Rose at all costs.

id get the metro to newcastle . infact id even chance hitchiking with an eastern european truck driver to peterlee over sunderland

Panda is popular for all u can eat. Theres the other all u can eat near the cinema. Cooper rose isnt too bad and some ppl i know go there which is near park lane station.

Theres a nice little italian place i think its italian lol just cross over from wilkinsons and turn left. Theres a nice little spot near seaburn which isnt far and is at the beach once duno if its still there but was a nice place.

Theres a few places near boldon theres a pub resturant, mcD, pizza hut and some other place i cant recall name of.

Oh theres wetherspoons i think its called, opposite wilkinsons also.

Think thats about the ones i know ppl go to.

I also remember an american style-quite good-restaurant, cant remember the name but it was something like "Ringo's", close to the bus station. that was a good one

I'd say atleast you can understand most people in sunderland.. over the geordie accent..

dont all the true geordies live in the west end anyway ? proper lovely place scotswood is. the rest of newcastle is full of students and non geordies driving into the city for work..

true geordies all go on like those on geordie shore, bell ends.

atleast in sunderland you're guaranteed to not bump into a geordie.

i hear they do great cheesy chips in 5under1and they pretty much live on the things.

in all seriousness go to newcastle.

All of the above is true.

Although I spent many happy ours in The Panda. Get a table under the stairs on a Fri/Sat night. ;)

Paprika is a class little restaurant, or the black horse boldon is pretty decent too.
Just stay clear of Newcastle, Geordie shore is a very true representation

casa rio tapas is more than acceptable..plenty of choice

dacqua is very nice but probably not what you are looking for
