Now everybody can rest easy.. Lara's hair is gonna be ok guys

Nvidia didn't even need to release a driver fix :p

But seriously some were even predicting the doom of Nvidia because of 'poor' Tomb Raider performance.. The developer releases a patch to it's game and all is well.. Those trolls can stand down from there soap boxes now.. If anyone ever mentions any game characters hair as a reason not to buy an Nvidia card plz kill yourself :)

Your news is a little on the late side...This patch came out sometime this morning or lastnight..

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=23903869&postcount=834.......;)

Plus this patch does not fix all the low FPS problems with Nvidia GPU's..

Ah well thanks for that jobsworth ;). I only just found out about the patch.. I haven't bothered to install the it yet as it runs fine for me anyway.. Oh yer and that's on an Nvidia GPU btw.

Is that a fictitious low fps problem your referring to?

I think he is referring to the low FPS issues on Nvidia GPU's that don't cost £900...

Once again, the PCGamer article is NOT about the damn TressFX hair, its about the fact that NVIDIA THEMSELVES ADMITTED there were stability issues unreleated to TressFX, the fact that they got code late, and the fact that this was because it was an AMD game, the fact that both consoles have gone AMD and more and more games are going Gaming Evolved and Nvidia being late to get final code, more buggy, and less optimised for is set to continue.

Please go look up Sleeping Dogs performance before spouting about TressFX as Nvidia's only issue, performance is shifting to AMD not least because of gaming evolved and optimisation for AMD... this is only set to continue due to the state of Nvidia's involvement with game dev's/consoles VS AMD's involvement.

Only Nvidia fanboys want the entire story/idea to be about TressFX and nothing more.

It does. Only certain users are having performance issues.

Not on about the performance issues: SSAA is a killer and I can't see it being maxed out with everything else on one 680.

CF 7950s wasn't the greatest with it all one - around average of 55.5 FPS while overclocked to a moderate 1100/1500.

I'm playing right now with all the settings you said and it's running smooth.
