Budget of £120,current best android phone?

The only phone I know, outside of Chinese domestic phones, in that price and capability is the Huawei g330d but its £138 at the mo though expected to fall to about £100 when an exclusivity deal ends, IMHO the Zte 2 doesn't perform as well as its stat line implies when up against cheap Samsungs ie Ace and Apollo, just going by friends experience.

That seems excellent, best suggestion in the thread imo

It is my first smart phone and I have been really pleased with it.
The only thing I have found missing that some dearer phones have is a compass, but the GPS works fine and finds my position as fast as my TomTom and follows the map smoothly whilst in my car
The only thing I wish was better is the camera, which is quite good for snaps and videos, but if you want hd full screen TV size you will have to spend a few hundred quid, overall though a very good phone for the money

I'm not convinced, in my experience I find you're better off going for a reputable brand and sacrificing specs. The cheap Chinese brands tend to be pretty poor build quality and with washed out screens. That's my experience though, happy to be proved otherwise

Personally would look at some of the cheaper Lumia(620/520) phones at that price range WP is a much better user experience, expect maybe missing apps. If there is apps you need that are not yet on the platform then that's a problem.

Thanks for all the replies. :)

Was looking at some of those dual core Chinese phones actually, but having to import one did make me think twice,so seeing that UK seller got me interested again.

Wow, it's first time I've seen the Galaxy Apollo get a mention here for a while. I thought they were long gone as it was a phone that I had 3 years ago and even then it was cheap end. Sold it 2nd hand for only ~£50 when I got my SGS2.

Yeah I got it as a little tester of android, saw the potential and was just about to get an S2 when the Note came out so got one of them instead.

Try and get a phone with 1GB of RAM or more. 512mb of RAM is poor for Ice Cream Sandwich. I'd recommend second hand GS2, very solid phone still.
