LAN venues?

the guy who started the lans knows about all the power, he will test it all and make sure that its right. I dont have a clue about that kind of thing, but he does :D

scout hall again is a good idea :D cheers LinkZ!!

Conference centre I would think will be your best bet - plenty of sockets, normally licenced for either BYOB and have a bar as well, nicely set up for a LAN as they always have those moveable walls that I can't remember the proper name for ("partions" sounds wrong, but you know what I mean). Camping might be an issue though, unless you go to one in the middle of nowhere and hire a field!
And if you neeeeed power in the field - big ****-off generators are cheap for one night!

Im not sure if anyone has already mentioned this so please forgive me if they have but have you tried holiday camps out of season? They often have big club houses, internet and it also takes care of the sleeping, parking and camping side of things.

I went to one in a Church Hall but it was sans-internet and they used a 3G dongle so people could initialise Steam games. Was only for 1 day though.

Another I've been to was in a Scout Hut and was suitable for everything needed, plenty of room to sleep on floors in other rooms and they had a well organised setup for power, LAN.
