*** Images of Items or Services Purchased in March 2013 ***

Funny you should ask, I was about to post on Gopro thread in Photography section, I had to exchange mine yesterday. Firstly it suffered from locking/freezing after update. I fixed that by making Photo as default startup. Then the remote wouldn't connect to the camera, it would just continuously search. The camel had its back broken by the final straw, the battery on the camera dropped three bars within 15 mins whilst on standby. Haven't tried the new one yet....

Def. the worst £360 I ever spent, I use it for filming/photos from my quadcopter and ended up having to use my phone and the gopro app (which is also rubbish) as the remote only lasts about 5 minutes from a full charge.

Old mug cracked and the OcUK mugs aren't wide enough for a large biscuit dipping.

Is it just me, or is there a distinct prominence of “middle-classery” on this forum? Most, if not all of the pictures within this thread consist of lavish homes, immaculate workstations, and laminate flooring from which you could eat your dinner. The very fact that a multitude obviously have the luxury of expendable income makes me ponder if I'm the only one here living on queer street?

Poor people can't afford nice things so they don't post in this thread.

Either that or we just clean more than once a year. ;)

I usually just forget to post in this thread when I buy things. I'm not obsessed with my post count (so I don't spam this or the 'This instant and moment' and I'm not an RSS feed like certain posters do).

I just actually spending my time enjoying my purchases and just enjoying life rather than trying to prove how much wealth I have and how materialistic my life is to a group of people I don't know and for the large part I'm not overly interested in knowing away from the forums. Why seek approval from the internet?

Obviously, this doesn't apply to Apple products :3.

It is however rather interesting seeing what like minded people are purchasing. I know I've bought a couple of books based on people posting pictures of them in this thread.

I like to post up Cheap Stuff in ere :D

Yeah, I mean sometimes it's interesting, but for example the item that has most fascinated me was that dude who bought the massive Metal Gear statue. That was incredible :).

Also; I'm confused as to why there isn't a 'post a picture of the last item purchased' thread instead of monthly ones with a rule about only posting pictures you have taken and only posting when you have a picture.

Careful how you tread. The last discussion on this almost ended up with people getting a short holiday! (I agree, would solve the 'you *bought* it last month crowd at the start of every month).

Yup.

If I buy something I think will interest others or has been a good deal or a good find/novelty/funky or whatever then I'll probably post it. There have been lots of things I've not posted because they're uninteresting to anyone else like a toothbrush or shaving cream or a bar of chocolate etc. I imagine most people are the same here.

I've most likely posted some completely crap things in the past but like with anything, it's a phase that passes.

Having said that, looking back at the various "Spec me..." threads, it seems people are interested in even the most mundane things!

As for photos looking "lavish", control your lighting and even a turd will look good :p

Besides, a lot of people here either work from home or spend a lot of time at their workstations be it due to hobby or otherwise so it makes sense that they'd look cosy.

I don't care , it seems silly having these each month espeically given the fight to get the thread started at 30 seconds past midnight.

What is wrong with one big thread, picture of the last thing you purchased, no stock photo's or shots of invoices ect, and only post with a picture, would cut down on the pointless waffle.

If you have a question about the item, just bloody trust someone or have it so that people have to have in the title of the post what the item is.
