Grabbed this today on the Xbox for the grand sum of a tenner.

Now, I am not used to this kind of game but ... is it actually difficult or am I just plain doing it wrong? I just seem to die, a lot.

Pray tell where? Trying to get it on the PS3. Sorry cant help with your question, just keep with it as its meant to be brilliant...

Independent games shop near me.

I am getting into it now, still dying a fair whack but not nearly as much as I was. It's like a cross between Bioshock and Batman AA lol

Great game, really enjoying it......
I am aiming for a mainly stealthy approach, and Blink myself away to safety if I get into a fight. Dark Vision is your friend - my approach involves watching and then Blinking in behind to strangle then Blinking out again, carrying unconscious goon - just in case that helps ?!

It's kind of easy :p They didn't really balance the powers (didn't on purpose) so it's possible to just blink through the entire game pretty much!

I am getting more roof-top stealthy and blinking all over the show now. I think I am mainly finding it so hard is that it's a very different game style to what I usually play. Having the same issue with Deus Ex: HR.

I am enjoying it though.

It is brilliant, get it :)

They had loads of pre-owned ones in Game (sorry mods, is this a competitor? I'm out of touch) last time I went in.

Definitely gonna get it - loving thats theres been a few SP gems been realeased that Ive missed - Im determined to get as many of them done by killing any MP games I play, really enjoying that decision too - 2/3rds way through Enslaved currently :)

Man I wish I was you discovering these types of games - Im guessing youve never played the Thief series on the PC then? These are far more neutered compared - love my steampunk :)

Huge 'meh' game for me, but worth a tenner easily - but one thing I found (might explain why you keep getting killed), is that although you are hiding in shadows, and can see you're in shadows - the enemy can often still spot you. The only real way I found to avoid detection, was to break line of sight.

Nope, never did play the Thief games. I was firmly lost in RPGs at the time.

The hiding in shadows thing got me too. Works fine in Deus Ex (so far but im not all that far through it). Was explained in a loading screen after I had died lol.

I've been trying to do the same, but Fifa still drags me back, kicking and screaming. Midway through FarCry 3 at the moment, and struggling to motivate myself to go further. Aside from the upgrades, it's all a bit samey. I much prefer heavily story driven games which push you through the main quests, never could get on board with open world stuff. If you're similar Dishonored is perfect (think Bioshock, but not quite as good!). What's Enslaved like?

I found Dishonoured to be very short and once finished, there didnt appear to be a new game+ option to start the game over with the powers from the previous round.

Im one of those weirdos that likes to get everything done within the game, so if theres something hard to collect (like say al the shards in Infamous) Ill try and do that, but I stupidly get bored and regress back to instant gratification of FIFA and when I eventually go back to Infamous Im compelled to restart it from scratch :p. I hate trophies though, not interested in that kind of stuff, just whats actually in game...

Enslaved just a 3d platformer, but its got a lovely story to it based off an old Chinese legend, the main two characters and their relationship is pretty well done (Monkeys awesome), the game just ticks over nicely for me and is set in a nice post-apocalyptic world (who doesnt love nature taken over the world and world full of evil robots :p) - its by Ninja Theory so its a solid game...

Anything that seems to have been loved by developers interests me - why Im after Dishonored as I heard some of the detail/effort put in was absurd...
