I've never understood George Galloway. On one hand, he'd be an interminable font of hyperbole, incandescent and vitriolic on some issue of human rights, and on the other he'd cosy up to a man that used chemical weapons on his own people, started a series of wars that led to hundreds of thousands of deaths and made the use of torture, imprisonment and murder a daily tool to preserve his own iron grip on power.
What an utter, insufferable knob.
I always thought that the gassing of the Kurds was Iranian because of the gas involved?
I tend to disregard his opinions on account of him being an utter helmet.
Agreed, he is the complete opposite of Boris Johnson*
*ie. He is stupid idiotic man trying desperate to sound intelligent

That claim came from Saddam, and the US backed him on it as they were allies of convenience against Iran at the time. Numerous reports from the likes of Human Rights Watch and the Canadian Parliament since have stated that it's clear Halabja was Saddam's regime attacking his own people.
And the Americans changed their tune in the late 90's when it was more advantageous for them to blame Saddam for the attack, as it was then part of their claim for his WMD's![]()
No, it was Iraq who committed genocide on their own people.....I was part of a later operation during the Iraq War to protect them and insure aid got to them.
