Wait that's a permanent thing? :O I thought the filler comics were dragging on but I didn't realise he had actually killed the main storyline O.o I thought he was just taking his time figuring out the next step :(

Oh well R.I.P CAD, along with reallifecomics and questionablecontent it really helped me stay sane through college :(

Tim's rebooting the main characters at some point this year, but will be moving to a more traditional comic book format.

I think it's great, the old story arcs were getting stale imho, plus it was a weird evolution from what the comic started as to what it became.

How do you warm those things up?

Metallic clicker inside, you click and it triggers an exothermic reaction in the gel which will turn into crystal. It should last an hour (longer if kept in your pocket).

To revert the process, boil it in some water for 5 minutes.

It can stay in soluble state forever until you click it. If it is good I might get a couple more and keep them in the car in case of breakdown in these weather.

be VERY careful when re setting them, incredibly easy to split them, then its straight in the bin.

Yeah, Ethan and the others will be back, but the stories wont quite be as serious and as indepth at times from the sounds of it, more just funny/geeky humour and I would also assume it'll be done as if most of the story previously never happened. It's a little sad that he is changing it up, but I can understand why, things had changed a lot since the start of the comic. For example it was just heartbreaking when the story arc got to Lilah's miscarriage.

It is nice to see the Players getting a bit more depth to them, they aren't just trying to kill eachother all the time, you can actually see some unique characteristics develop now that they are getting some more attention, and when Ethan and the others do come back it should be just as great :)

Meh, I still say rebooting a web comic that's been running for a decade and has a large following that has observed its development and grown attached to the characters is a stupid idea. IIRC Reallifecomics tried to alter the format a few years ago to make it more serious and almost killed itself off but ended up going back to the status quo to fans delight, by taking such drastic action the writer of CAD is taking a big risk, I for one never liked the players filler comics so now I know their here to stay I no longer have a reason to check on a comic ive been reading for almost 10 years, shame... :(

I would say give CAD a shot, the Players are developing quite nicely IMO, and it doesn't matter what other webcomics have done, wait and see what CAD does with Ethan, Lucas and all of the others, perhaps it'll turn out great :)
