Hello GD, Im just wondering if you have a large amount of money to send via internet banking do you send a small amount first to ensure it has gone to the correct person/company ( wait for confirmation ) or do you just send ther whole lot in one go.
I have been internet banking for many years, Im quite comfortable with it and I have never had any problems but when it comes to sending large amounts I am paranoid about it.

"Hi Sir/Madam,

I am King Mali Coukae, I have a substancial amount of tax free money in my african account... if you could send me your bank account details"

/Seriously

I normally just send the full amount, or as advised, send a small amount or do it in parts.

As I understand it, if you **** up and send it to the wrong account, you may not actually be entitled to it back (Someone feel free to correct me if that's wrong). If its a large amount, I would do a small transfer first.

No its wrong. But I believe getting it back is long winded so best to do it correct first time.

Its your money still. If the other person keeps it its theft. Same as finding money on the street, its not yours to keep you should hand it in.

Unfortunately this is true. :p I logged into my internet banking about 10 years ago and discovered a large transport company had deposited around 100k into my account. Unfortunately it was reversed within 24 hours haha :o

I usually just do it, but triple check what they've given me before hitting send and then hope they're as thorough as me. Bound to backfire at some point :(
