i realise this is a computer game so if the mods feels its more appropriate in the pc games subforum then feel free to move it.
im asking this here as i know one or two real truckers browse this section

i play it quite a bit and im starting to question the realism of the payments for deliveries, not a game breaker by any means but just wondering.

for example

my company on the game got paid £70k for a delivery of ammunition, delivery was just under 1200 miles, my driver gets around £620 for each delivery plus £25 per mile. so for the one delivery he gets paid like £30k for that one delivery taking around 2 and a bit days!

this is an extreme example surely and not accurate to real life?

I work in logistics, trust me, they don't get paid that :p

It can be a decent wage earner but you have to graft to get the big bucks.

Reality is its closer to that sum per year for most of these guys!

Plus its very unlikely you'd be allowed to transport anything other than small arms munitions by road ( in a normal truck at least). Especially in the UK where we are very very protective about what we use in our weapons

You do get paid more for delivering firearms and tear gas (such as civil defence supplies at ashby hall) but not a huge amount more.
Its also done in an armoured van.

How realistic is it? Do European drivers pull out in front of you without looking or do trucks try and overtake each other doing exactly the same speed?

I was really quite dissapointed to find pay rates so much higher in simulation land.....

I need a virtual job clearly :p :D
