Why would I find a rat in a can of Monster?
EDIT: I googled it...I do not believe, sorry, a human tooth can be dissolved in about a day in coke, so a little mouse/rat has no chance in Monster...

It wasn't meant to be a serious answer. I have serious doubts about the legitimacy of the claim myself. I googled human tooth dissolving in coke and it seems that claim is also a fallacy. Regardless, enjoy your Monster, it's the best energy drink around

We used to have a nurse come into our primary school to tell us about healthy eating and dangers of smoking etc. She asked us if we could save a tooth next time one fell out and bring it into school to do an experiment with. She put the tooth in some coke and it did appear to dissolve after a while. Unless she just removed it to shock us...
Apparently it was due to the acid that is in coke rather than the high sugar content.

From my limited A-Level stanard Chemistry, sugar doesn't dissolve anything, if anything, it is a perservative, it is the acid, which is a key ingredient in Coke.
Coke rots your teeth in your mouth is because of the bacteria and the sugar together, not so much the acid, although I can't see that being good. The best thing to do is drink it through a straw.

Just did some Googling on it as I wondered and found this:
Phosporic acid corrodes the surface of the enamel, clearing the way for the microorganisms
Coke contains this acid, which is the same acid the dentists use to strip enamel in teeth before applying a filling, so it will stay in there, which is why it can break down teeth.
