Kind of an odd one, I have fully comp insurance, is it possible to claim off this for damage caused by gritters? I was basically shot blasted by a gritter on the M6 the other month and its going to cost a significant amount more than my excess to put right (hell its going to cost more than my entire policy lol).

Upload some pictures of the damage.

Were you warp factoring up the outside lane? Anything can do damage with enough speed.

You'd have a hard time proving it if no one else has come forward.

You need to decide if the cost of the repairs is worth having an increase in insurance premium for the next few years.
It's a claim and it's unlikely you're going to get the third party to confess all so you have a "non-fault" claim.
But as for claiming - that is what insurance is there for.

Gritter drivers pebble dash cars on purpose, I know a gritter driver who's admitted to doing it and goes after the more expensive cars.

I wish you hadnt told me that..

Next time I see the local gritter go past I might drag him from it and pebble dash his face :p

Seriously though, only a total Be11end would do that to cars :(
