If you can afford a 690 get a Titan instead.

CTRL+ALT+DEL - start task manager - processes - highlight 'lcore.exe' - end process - go back to nvidia screen and click continue.
I have to disable that as well as khascroll.exe and garminlifetimeupdater.exe
A pain but only takes a few seconds
