See my previous reply.Go look for it, it's the LT71141 version.
Does this mean you wouldn't use ESSO LT71141 either?

Feel free to provide some evidence for your assertion that the fluids are the same. The fact they are not recommended by the manufacturer of the transmission is a good starting to point to say 'they are not'. You can make 'it's a scam' claims all you like.So yes, you do like being taken for a ride.
I have a 535d, so yes. It's either a ZF 6HP26 or a ZF 6HP26 TU (sure the latter). It's under warranty, I haven't changed the transmission oil.Interesting. Do you own a ZF box?
Stick your rolleyes up your backside. As soon as you came in with 'You like being taken for a ride don't you?' I knew it was going to be an argument rather than a discussion.Yeah because ZF are going to give you a list of fluids that will work so that there is no need to buy their Lifeguard stuff they sell![]()
It 'going' is not the problem, it starting to behave differently and be altogether a less pleasant transmission for tens of thousands of miles before hand is the problem!
Well, it's hard to say. What year is your car? Is it tuned? Do you drive hard, and what kind of cycle (i.e. short journeys in town, long journeys on motorway)? How many miles do you drive per year?So if mine is sweet at the moment and not causing any problems I don't really have anything to worry about?
So I got a quote from an Indy up here whos supposed to be pretty good, but hes quoted £600 for a gearbox service........
my local gearbox specialist quoted me £160 all in.
I can only presume the same thing, filter and oil what else would be done in a service? what car do you have marv?
