My S3 glass has Cracked.....How hard is it to replace ?

Nephew's was bare back no case mate. It looks like it been through a World War.

The fact that it still works is impressive.

Ouch...

I guess am a little more lucky with mine as it only a single crack from one side to the other side..
I still haven't done anything or ordered anything to try fix it mine yet..

That's exactly how mine was, be very very careful. Mine was like that for about 2 months and then one day the phone was fine when I put it in my pocket and came out with purple and green liquid all over the screen. I could just about use it but within 12 hours the backlight had died and you couldn't use the phone at all.

Budget for a replacement screen or phone soon.

Friends GS 3 is also badly cracked (+ water damage) so I am selling it to mazuma for £110 and going to probably get her the nexus 4. Haven't got a photo but this is what hers sort of looks like:

Last time I looked all those phone recycling places specifically exclude water damaged phones.

Can't believe the build quality of these, my old Desire HD is built out of unobtanium compared to these, have dropped it numerous times and it has a few chunks of the Alu missing and few scratches.

you pay the price for an all glass front - which looks 10x better than my old desire. That thing feels dated to say the least. If your worried about dropping it get a gel case.

Fixed it today. Took me 5 hours! Managed to scratch the LCD a few times, but you can only see them when the phone is turned off. Will get some pics up in a bit.

5 hours!? I'd of launched it through the window well before then!

The glass just refused to come off, regardless of how long I used the heat gun. Horribly frustrating!

Ever since the repair though, my phone has been freezing constantly. I'm not sure if it's a result of heating my phone too much or something. I have to hold the power button down to fix it. :(
