Mineral water , who drinks it?

I have a water filter jug I keep in the fridge. I pay enough in water rates without shelling out more for bottled water.

Biggest con ever.

theres a huge diference, the minerals your body needs dont exist in normal tap water.

Err, yes they do.
Down here in Bath, our tapwater has a higher mineral content than most bottled mineral waters. Sure, it may not be the greatest tasting tapwater in Britain, but that's why we invented orange squash.
Does make a mess of the kettle though...

actually its not , i am small so i don't need as much unlike you , you are big so you will have much greater needs than me..

Actually you are wrong, unless you are drinking other fluids under 700ml per day is not enough water/fluid for an adult (assuming you eat normal food).

EDIT
Oh forgot to say, we have quite a cool tap, give us super clean RO water (and sparkling water)

To be honest tap water is just as good if not better then bottle water in the uk.

Tap water typically contains less bacteria than bottled water, the bacteria levels in bottled water is often way above tap water as they will not clean it as no one would pay for bottled water that tastes of chemicals.

All of this 2, 3, 4 litres or whatever the latest guesstimate of fluid requirement is, is a load of ********! Drink when you're thirsty! No need whatsoever to keep pouring fluids into your body to meet some mythical daily requirement, thirst indicates you need fluid, hunger indicates you need food, or is this not a scientific enough approach!?

4 litres a day is way to much , i do about 2 x 1 litre bottles every 3 days

Would disagree.

The correct amount of hydration can be determined by the color of your urine. Yes you can 'over hydrate' but it will vary greatly person to person. I would say that I average around 5-6 litres of water per day however I exercise regularly. And yes the colour of my pee is optimal :p

IMO people don't drink enough water.

I notice a difference between bottled water and our tap water, mainly because our tap water is horrific in my opinion anyways. Usually try and drink a couple of bottles per day at least some day's less some day's more it varies.

Also in West Lothian here and I have to say I would take a glass of tap water over bottled water every time, but it's not always possible. I don't drink it regularly but do on occasion.

Also tap water in England, especially in the south is disgusting compared to Scottish tap so if I lived in the South of England I'd probably drink more bottled than tap. But I don't.

That's just crap. Thirst is often mistaken for hunger. S no it's not scientific at all. The only test you need is pee test.
And the guy doesn't drink 700ml a day. He's just mental.

I just drink reprocessed sewage piped from the Thames supplemented with a sprinkling of garden dirt for the missing minerals and I feel great.

But I guess I am missing out on all those bisphenol A's and phthalates that you bottled water health fiends pay so dearly for :p

i drink what ever is costcos own brand water, 35 0.5L bottles for £4~. just for ease of use, couple of bottles in the work bag. i drink tap water at home.

i do like to get cheapo sparkling water from tesco and squeeze a half a lime in it with ice. nom.

A few such as nestle are just filtered tap water.

Only time i have mineral water is if I am somewhere where i know the tap water is a bit hard or something it just tastes off which occurs in a few places such as Barnsley.

I drink Evian sometimes because I like the taste, but mineral water is no better for you than tap water (usually worse) and any feeling otherwise is just a placebo.
