My DIY desk with solid oak kitchen worktop mounted to the wall around all edges and a single ikea leg
New chair on the way soon
Hi how much did that desk & fitting cost all together please? Looks like it could be an alternative to buying a ready made desk, was thinking of customising it as well.

The worktop itself was around £70 but that was only because it had been returned and already stained so i got it fairly cheap. They would normally be around £150 to £200 depending on the length and where you look. This was 3m long but is solid oak
It is probably work ringing round some local kitchen suppliers as they seem to often have slightly damaged work tops around
Then the leg was £10 from ikea and the wood for around the wall was around £6 from b&q
It is great for what i want from it. Cheap and solid and i often have a mate set up his pc on the right which is great

Tis one of the Expedit series. You get the L shape part then pick a set of shelves to attach it to, I have one as well. It's great

Well since my partner and I are having a baby, my man cave got taken away to become the nursery. On the plus side I now get the spare bedroom which is even bigger than my old man cave. excuse the mess still unpacking bits and pieces and trying to setup how I want, will then get on decorating the room since it hasn't been done since we moved in.

My mate gave me a old 24" Dell 2403 panel, so as a result I had to gte a new desk to fit both my 27" Hazro and my 24" Dell (2560x1440 & 1920 x 1200)
£30 for a cheap 2meter worktop from Wickes and job done!
