Hang Over Cures?

Lucky I don't get hangovers no matter how paraletic I get. I wake up feeling like I haven't even had a drink!

Hope it stays like this when I'm older.

My Glaswegian (spelling?) mate told me this, and it worked a treat for me.

Irn Bru (obv), scottish breakfast (obv), paracetamol (if head hurts) and then another pint :)

Take it from the experts!

Actually what you want to do is you want to rehydrate yourself before bed.

Some clever people will drink water between pints, but most people aren't going to do that, so do it when you get home and assuming you've had a decent amount of sleep you should probably feel alright in the morning.

Not sure the salty foods actually help given your body needs to use water in order to process the salt, but maybe the effect of making you take more fluids actually help.

The problem with re-hydrating yourself is you don't instantly feel good about, this is why it's important to do before you start feeling bad. This has been posted several times, but I'm pretty sure it's the only thing that actually works.

I usually just stop drinking before I feel bad (which takes quite a bit compared to some) But usually, when I do drink wrecklessly, I rarely have a hang over. If I do, it's usually just a few more toilet trips than usual (but not from the mouth)

Take a multi vitamin, vitamin E and selenium before going out.

Pretty much the only thing that has gotten me through a number of stag dos.

For me now I'm in my 30s stop drinking at ten or start drinking alternate pints of water then a berroca before bed followed by a massive mug of nettle tea and as much water as I can fit in, more water on the bedside table and a couple of codydramol for the 5am wake up, down them with as much water as I can, try and get back to sleep which is difficult with a 2 and 4 yr old children.

Failing all that or I've gone silly, beg the wife to go shopping with the kids whilst I've failed to get back to sleep at 5 and sit there in a anxiety ridden mess thinking I'm going to die, try and play the xbox but that gives me palpitations and ride it out.

Lately I've seen the light and drink much less

Anyone tried milk thistle?

I resurrect this thread!!!

Due to the fact that the original subject of this thread, my work colleague, turned up 2 hrs late for work this morning with a stinking hang over AGAIN! This time due to Paddy's Night antics with our resident Irish Web Developer...

Now I am going to have to carry this guy all day cause he is so hanging he cant test the simplest things! It makes my blood boil!!!

I recently decided to stop drinking so much, mainly due to Monday hangovers. First week and no drinking at all and I have the worst cold in the world. I would prefer a hangover right now.

Tell him to keep drinking.

Take a berrocca when you wake up for a wizz early, down 2 large glasses of water.

When up head straight out for lunch and breakfast cocktails then hit it again.

I really don't see how this is any of your business to be honest? He is hung over big deal.

I still can't understand why you felt the need to say he lives at home etc and gets paid more than you?
