Hi, I'm looking to get some parts for a new computer, and would like some help as I don't really know much about this stuff.

I've put a few things together that seems good to me, and would just like to see if anyone can check what I've put together and maybe recommend anything else that might be better for the same amount (or cheaper :D).

AMD A10-5800K Black Edition 3.80GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Quad Core Processor (AD580KWOHJBOX) - £99.95
Gigabyte F2A85X-D3H AMD A85X Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 ATX Motherboard - £64.99
Patriot Viper "Black Mamba" Generation 3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit (PV38G186C9K) - £41.99
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (ST500DM002) HDD - £43.99
XFX Pro 450W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply - £39.95
Xigmatek Asgard Pro Gaming Case - Black - £32.99

The stuff I do mostly on the computer is Photoshop (quite a lot), occasional video editing (nothing too heavy, mostly simple stuff), and after that just the usual basic stuff.

Thanks!

Thanks!

I would like an SSD at some point, but they're a bit too expensive for me at the moment, especially when buying this other stuff :p

Bang on mate. Looks like a spec I've done recently :)

The Viper RAM overclocks well so is better than the 1866Mhz on the sticker. I had a look in B grade for a 1TB HDD for the same price but they have sold out

Thanks :)

Yeah I had the 1TB in my basket this morning but they've all gone since then :p

Edit: It's still in my basket, would I be able to order it since I added it before it went out of stock?

Oh damn, I went back a bit later and added it manually (or so I thought), but just noticed that I bought that exact one but the £49.99 version instead. Didn't even see that in the search results :(

Can you not call to change the order? For £50ish I would have gone with the Z9 U3 which is the improved version with USB3 and a real side window. I own the Z9 Plus it's a great starters case with so much stuff in the chassis but the U3 wasn't available when I bought mine ;)

I can't phone at the moment but I sent a message via WebNote so hopefully they receive that in time.

I didn't really want to go any higher for the case as I already went up from the original £32 one, especially as I didn't notice and thought I was getting it for £37.16 :p TBH the USB3 isn't a big deal for me as the motherboard has USB3 and I don't really use ports in the front of a computer too often anyway, I like keeping any plugged in stuff out of sight. The proper window would be nice, but for some reason I quite like the mesh on the side... I don't know why :p

Yep. Well hopefully it's read in time before the order is sent out. If not, I guess it'll teach me to check even more in the future :)

Use the customer service section as it's usually quicker.
