Hey guys
Just wondering who is getting this game on Friday and what do you think about it?
I just pre ordered it and I'm looking forward to it.

LOL, like what, there is no game like monster hunter on any other systems outside Nintendo. Of course you can tell us those other options in your post as well.

Eurogamer have scored it 9/10 and say it's excellent, ign 8.8. Averaging 85% on meta critic.

It's looking like a great game if it's your thing. read the Eurgamer review it gives a good write up on what is invloved.

Just to add the 3ds version has lcoal 4 player only while the U version has online multiplayer which will make 4 player groups nice and easy.

Oops didnt mean for the butt hurt, its the first time ive ever played a monster hunter game. So i just based what i seen on a demo. It just reminded me of guild wars 2 with the combat. It just made me feel like i was playing a lite mmo.
Ill look at some video reviews to see what the fuss is about, but it just seems like a game that you picked cause you dont have a pc.
 
I was looking forward to this, I had it pre-ordered but having played the demo I decided against it. I'm sure its good but I found the combat very clunky and I hated the camera.
 
I've pre-ordered the bundle with the wii u and then forgot how close the release was....
I've been so excited, i've loved all the others and most importantly the wii has two analogue sticks... so convenient!
Although now it's only a few days away i may just have to get it on the 3ds and give myself some time to save up for the wii u properly but apparently the second analogue stick is going to be on the touch screen.
This game is the only reason why i want to buy it....
 
The demo isn't great, unless you have played it a lot before, really they should have amde the demo the whoel tutorial and allowed people to get in to it slowly. Not an easy game and it takes some work.

Eurogamer review is worth a read though.
 
My 3ds xl monster hunter pack came lunch, but I didn't know it pretty much needed the circle pad pro!! How stupid is that!! So now I need to go beg game for one, and I suspect I have no chance
 
Ordered it for Wii U, will arrive tomorrow! Off work with the Chickenpox at 28...so gives me something to grind my way through while I'm off :p
 
after giving the demo another few plays today i have decided to get monster hunter. like some have said the demo is not the best at introducing new players.
after playing it for awhile i got used to how the camera and fighting controls worked.

im so glad i have gave it another go the sense of satisfaction beating even the easy boss on the demo was enough for me to completely change my mind.

also i took a look on youtube of someone playing the 1st hour of gameplay and rpg elements look right up my street.
who else is picking this up ?
