I moving from Be to BT. I just got my BT home hub can I just swap it over from the Be router while I'm stll on Be?????????? BT change over is not till the 27th.

Cheers

Is it ADSL? Or going for the BT infinity package?

If it's still ADSL then you should need to input your BT username / Password (can get it off the Home Hub I would think). Input that into your BE router and should work fine.

Sol its the other way around I'm still on Be, I just thought I'd fire up the new Homehub3 to work on BE till the change over to BTwith them Both ADSL.

Even on ADSL it's unlikely to work without significant effort, if at all. I believe that using a HH on a non-BT connection involves flashing alternative firmware. There's also the complication that Be* use different connection settings.

Apologies, I would take note of your BT username / password in that case. :D

But yes, if you put your details in. Try it, you never know. BT does use a lot of firmware on their router though so not sure if that would cause a problem.

oh well best to leave it for a week then and then doing it on the day of the swap over!
Just as long as my Netgear WN121T Wifi picks it up but it picks up the girls across the street and her's is an older Homehub so fingers crossed.

BT use 0/38 for their VPI/VCI. Be use 0/101. Also the encapsulation is different using LLC. If you can change those settings on the Home Hub then it would work, I wouldnt bet on it though.

Its ok lads the only thing I've done is change the Filter as the BT one looks better than my old one. I'll wait till the 27 th ro fire up the HH3.
