Ok so old loop:

2 x 7950
D5
1 x thin 360, slow fans

Max temps after long heaven 4 run with cards at 1200/1600 56 degrees.

New loop - same as above but with extra 200mm rad with 700RMP fan intaking.

Guess my new temps folks - same as before, heaven 4 with cards at 1200/1600, long run until temps stabilise.

The prize is honour only I am afraid.

Im going to guess its a pretty good reduction

360 x 120 x 30 = 1296000 cm3
200 x 200 x 30 = 1200000 cm3

so im going to guess:

56*(1296000/2496000) ~ 30 degrees

Panyan - don't forget overlocked cards run at about 12c over water temp. To get 30 the water would have to be at ambient in a cool room.

If only it was so simple. I'm guessing a 5 degree reduction at most, so 51.

AND THE WINNER IS pgi947 !!

45 on one card 46 on the only (cards in parallel).

One card hit 47 for a couple of seconds during a half hour period of stability so I'm discounting that.

The room is probably a bit hotter tonight that it was yesterday when I bit the last test so I think that is a solid 10c deduction.

Pretty happy with that.

If you have the Phobya fan mount plate for your 200mm radiator, slap one of these on http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=344&area=en, then find out the temp drop.

Dont forget to strap your PC down before you turn it all the way up to 2000RPM! This fan is pretty much the only super high SP fan at these sizes.
