Another vote here for the Saber V2 with an 8350, really like mine a lot. Good solid board with loads of nice features for the price. I pushed it pretty hard and it never throttled.

Having said that, I think I'm going to sell it soon because I just bought an X79 set up. I just can't stop buying new stuff to fiddle with!

Did the board BIOS came with the 8350 support out the box? or did the board need flashing to a new BIOS to support the 8350?

I have the sabertooth (It'd be nice if they used the English spelling) revision one and works great for me, no throttling. running at 4.8 on closed loop water.

Yeah it's the same chip, just speed binned.

Did you run Prime95 Small FFT?
What BIOS and board rev. do you got?
It must be Small FFT as I tried Large FFT and the board actually did not throttle and the temps is also lower by about 10°C.

Yes ran prime small fft for 30 mins,is that long enough?

fx8350 with asus crosshair v formula z here at 4.8ghz.
Not experienced throttling at all when on load from prime 95

Well I'd hope not with that motherboard lol, it's the best 990FX board you can buy, I'm contemplating moving back to AMD with the FX8350 after selling my 2500k rig to my bro. The quality of the motherboards you can get for the price is outstanding, to get the same features on an intel board would knock you back around 300-400 quid.

That's very true, and people are always knocking the platform for being outdated which is completely untrue. I had to spend another £100+ to get an x79 board with as many features as my 990fx saber.
