Hello,

Has anyone been to this before?

Was just looking at booking tickets, £50 for four days worth of entertainment seems pretty good. Plus I've never been to London before!

So yeah, worth it?

Been going for a few years, generally pretty fun minus the queuing. Also depends on the games they have on.

Went in 2011.

Assuming this year is anything like 2011, you will not need a 4 day ticket.

Me and my friends saw everything easily in about 4 or 5 hours. If you did want to try out every game etc. then 2 days would be sufficient.

Something to bare in mind though if you really want to go for 4 days is that there is scope to profit from going. When I went I got multiple CSGO beta access cards which I managed to sell for about 40 pounds each.

I went to the last one last September at Earls Court. Me and some mates will be going this year again too.

Last years was 'ok'. I have been to a few gaming expo's in the past and the only real annoyance were the large queues to play a lot of upcoming games i.e assassins creed 3, dishonored, cod bore, warface etc. I personally went to see games and not play them so I was ok, however I felt that I'd seen what I wanted to see in about 5hrs tops.

Oh and you can get bugger all mobile signal in the place, which made a mess of us all meeting up once in there :)

Outside Earls Court there are a lot of nearby resteraunts like Byron Burgers that have better noms than those at the court.

This year the expo is meant to be spread across two floors, so there will be even more stuff on show!

I think I went in 2008, courtesy of Nvidia ticket giveaways. It was actually rather fun, lots of games, lots of people, and there was swag to be had. Probably wouldn't do 4 days unless there was something different each day that you wanted to see.

To be fair its only £48 for the full 4 days, if we do see everything and don't fancy going back then it's not a big loss.

I doubt we will go as it will cost us a fair bit to go, flights and hotel plus food. But then I've never been to London, so can do other touristy stuff aka sitting in a pub getting wasted. :p

Never been to an expo, so should be fun.

Having browsed through the website I'm quite tempted to get a 1 day Thursday ticket. Hate going to these things on the weekends. Looks good though.

Went last year and a few years ago as well. Queues, but good fun. Going again this year. Booked tickets but only for one day.

I went last year with a friend and it was pretty good. I prefered the retro gaming section to the rest if it though, wasn't that bothered about playing any of the new games they had running as the queues were stupidly long.

Been the last two years and went with a group of friends on both occasions - good laugh and pretty interesting, especially the developer talks.

As mentioned, be prepared for queues, no phone signal (to meet up with people) and expensive food inside. Also be prepared from some really grim toilets, they end up like festival loos. Last year I walked in to the gents and this kid was stood at a urinal with his trousers and boxers around his ankles having a wazz on the floor. Was very odd.

I personally find one solid day is enough for me. However, there are different developer talks each day and some day specific events so it could be worth checking the website incase something specific will swing it for you :)

Been to last years one, got a big head type figure for playing hitman demo :o

Man the demo was epic fun, having never played the game series before, was walking around and some guy shouted "brown fried rice, get brown fried rice". So I figured, lets eat before the killing. Walked up to him pressed some random buttons and next thing I know the dude is lying dead on the floor and the swat team has been called!... "Oh... That's not good... How am I going to explain that one?" I thought so run to the nearest dumpster and hid there until I got bored and the cops killed me q_q...

It was fun but I am not that much into new games, have a look at the schedule as to what you want to play but for 4 days... I would get hella bored xD.
