The Budget 2013 - 12:30

Oh goody more shale gas funding... That seemed like such a good idea the last few times they've tried it.

Probably the same thing said when they first tried to extract heavy oil out in the North Sea or when they set up the feed in tariffs to get Home solar up and running. Someones got to lead the way and develop the new technology

lowering corporation tax is retarded, according to BBC we now have one of the lowest rates  all while the poor get shafted

oh and earth quakes and poison water ahoy "Tax allowances for investment in shale gas"

Really struggling to see how it's retarded.

Are you convinced they're out to get you?

and you weren't complaining then when the big multinationals were moving their profits to the countries with the lower tax thresholds?

or have you not worked out they are linked?

Ed balls was acting the charlie big potatoes pointing and jeering and looking like a fool in the house of commons

If you are the type of person who puts any credibility on what ever Ed "chief economic adviser to Gordon Brown till 2005" Balls says then you need help.

This man, more than even the deluded scotsman himself is the reason our finances are hopelessly screwed for decades to come.

The man is an idiot.

It makes for a good laugh watching that house of ***** act like immature children, it's like a panto. These are the tards running our country, it's pathetic.

yup. what fine examples we give to our children. the people in charge act like spoilt brats. i would be ashamed of my son (19 months old!) if he acted like that.

OK, I'll just believe whatever David "chief economic adviser to Norman Lamont on Black Friday" Cameron says then

While it's not perfect, the scrapped fuel duty rises are handy. I cringed when I had to pay £1.48 per litre for petrol 2 weeks back, can't imagine how much it'd hurt to pay that all the time. Well, give it a few months I'm sure we'll be back there when crude prices fluctuate :p

Stick some more tax on fags and booze and lower it on fuel. I can give up drinking and smoking, I can't give up needing petrol to get to work in the mornings.

it does annoy me that im taxed to hell on my petrol to get to work. not everyone lives in london/big city and can use public transport.

i get baccy brought back from germany regularly anyway. i have paid enough tax on it over the years.

I guess tax avoidance by normal people is fine? or should you get the starbucks treatment?

But public transport prices are generally going up, too. It's not like they're not impacted, is it?
