A small crack in my windscreen

Just keep driving until it gets worse, it may just stay the same.. Your screen won't fall in on you. When is your first year up? The price difference between fully comp and 3rd party is usually fairly small.

As it stands it doesn't look like an MOT fail to me, but it's likely to get worse pretty quickly IME. If the wiper blade sweeps the chip it will also get a chunk of rubber removed and will leave a very annoying line across the windscreen in the rain.

I doubt that can be repaired, check your insurance policy and see what your windscreen excess is.

Also might want to look up the definition of 'small' :D (just kidding)

EDIT - I'm not suret if its an MOT failure as its not directly in your field of vision but its a significant crack!

In fairness various members of my family contributed to buy me the car including my dad. The simple fact is that he has money but does not like to spend it, it is very strange.

When you bust your arse to earn the money it makes a lot more sense. To be honest you are coming across like the typical spoilt kid that I deal with at work. If you want that screen fixed get a job, get money, spend that money on keeping your car up to scratch.

I totally understand what you're saying. I am extremely grateful that I have a very nice car for someone of my age, I mean its a nicer car than some people will ever have! When I initially got the car me and my Dad discussed how it was going to be paid for when things needed doing. He assured me that he would pay for anything that needed doing and as it happens I suggested a job but he insisted that I focus on my A Levels instead.

That provides much more context and actually makes my comment seem quite harsh. To put it in perspective I had a kid on one of my courses laughing with his mates about how he banged up his car (that his parents bought him) by hitting a parked car (and not leaving his details) but its ok because his (brand new) Nissan Juke comes in a couple of weeks... and guess who paid for that
