Ok, so you may have guessed by the title, I need someone to spec me a gaming PC.

Budget - £400-£500, as close to £400 as possible please

This sounds hard to spec, but do not worry, I already have a GTX 660, 500w Corsair CX series, and storage.

Parts that I need:
Case
CPU
Motherboard
Memory
CPU heatsink

This will be for purely gaming, and I want to get as high FPS as possible, however I may want to go streaming/recording in the future, and also when I replace my PSU for a 850w+ I will go into either Xfire with 2 new ATI cards, or SLI with a new 660, or 2 new Nvidia cards, so it would help if the motherboard would be capable of SLI/Xfire. Thanks for all suggestions. Also, how would you link the basket you have from the Overclockers website, I cannot for the life of me find out how.

Thanks again,
~Leighton

Hi,

You need the overclockers basket plugin for chrome, although there are some firefox/IE versions avaliable. Quick google should sort it out I think!

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - OEM £187.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £112.99
1 x Zalman Z9 USB 3.0 Midi Tower Case - Black £54.98
1 x Samsung Green (MV-3V4G3D/US) 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz 30nm Dual Channel Kit £49.99
1 x Be Quiet! Shadow Rock Pro SR1 CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £35.99
Total : £456.05 (includes shipping : £11.75).

SLI/X-Fire compatitble motherboard, decent RAM that can be overclocked, nice silent decent heatsink and the OEM version of the i5 cause it's £12 cheaper with a very nice case.

Wow, that plugin is awesome, thanks! And thanks for the spec, it seems a lot of people like the Zalman Z9 case, and the Samsung Green 1600mhz Dual Channel Kit. ^^

And, is there someway I would be able to get 1866mhz/2133mhz motherboard, since that memory can be priced at around the same as 1600mhz memory? It doesn't matter if it is Xfire/SLI anymore, since I can just get a better ATI card and get good performance, I wish I would have went with the 7870 instead of the 660 now:(

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - OEM £187.99
1 x ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £109.99
1 x Bitfenix Survivor Midi Tower Case - White £79.99
1 x Patriot Viper "Black Mamba" Generation 3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit (PV38G186C9K) £49.99
1 x Phanteks PH-TC12DX CPU Cooler - Blue (Socket 775 / 1150 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £44.98
Total : £487.04 (includes shipping : £11.75).

Would this be ok?

Edit: Would all the components fit in this case? Optical Drive, Hard Drive, maybe another 2 and an SSD in the future, a 660, and the components listed above?

EDIT: For some reason, I am mad on Bitfenix cases at the minute, and white, sleek ones too. If I had this case, would I have to buy the additional fans? And if so, how much would that be? Could someone spec me some good fans for this?

I would go with a Gigabyte board, you get UK RMA, ASRocks are known for burning out.

Yeah, but the Gigabyte boards I see only support 1600mhz max:( And also, will all the components fit inside that Bitfenix case? Would I need to buy additional fans for the case, to maximize airflow, if so, which ones? I have no idea about fans sadly.

Just overclock the RAM!

I like but i'd get this RAM:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Avexir Core Blue Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CW) - Blue Light £37.99
Total : £41.90 (includes shipping : £3.26).

Yes, it's only 1600Mhz but trust me you won't notice the difference.. RAM over 1600Mhz does affect anything (unless RAM testing)..

Pros:

* It is cheaper
* it is low profile
* It has blue lights that will match your system, it will look awesome..

Only a suggestion though, as your spec looks very good.

Ok, so instead of the 2133 RAM, could I get this?

I would still prefer to have RAM at atleast 1866, for some reason. I have no idea why, though, I think that in my head knowing I would be playing on 1866 RAM would be better than 1600, even if it would make 0 difference.
