I thought this was quite a good deal.

My Fiat diesel battery gave up after 7 years good service. Halfords and the local parts places wanted a tad over £70 for a cheapy. Bosch were coming out at £90+

www.buypartsby.com supplied a Bosch S4 battery for £60 all in with overnight Yodel delivery. I have just ordered a second for the Alfa 156 2.5 which was also £60 all in.

Thought I would share as they seem very good value.

I think I might need a battery for my Accord so just had a look but I've noticed that buypartsby has a lower aH rated battery than say eurocarparts?

Is there somewhere apart from ringing Honda to find out what rating the battery should be?

I use BPB but never checked the batteries!

Cheers

£45 for one for my Astra, that seems pretty good. Question is, whether it's my current battery that's causing some of the 'problems' I've currently got (headlights and interior lights dimming when turning the wheel, dim lighting etc) or if it's something else.

That can't be the battery can it, with the engine running isn't the alternator supplying all the juice the car needs and more so that it can also charge the battery?

I've no idea, I've mentioned it a few times in the past when I've taken it in for servicing and they've never seen it as a problem for some reason.

Either that or it sounds like you've got some serious voltage loss going on somewhere, I'd check the battery connections & the battery to chassis & engine to chassis earth straps etc.

Well I just checked mine, Halfords £129.99 and you have to pick it up in store.
German Swedish Car Parts £125.83 (return old battery to a branch and get £4)
Using your link £102 including delivery :)

Just fitted a Bosch Silver 74ah battery to mine, quality seems spot on (as you would expect from Bosch), gave the battery a condition and charge with my CTEK before fitting.

Prices in the OP seem good, shame i needed mine so quickly.

Yeah just ordered a Silver top one for my Alfa. Halfords £119.99, Europarts £100.80 but using this place £66.00 all in. (changed it as it was only £6 extra)

I must admit that Yodel seems to be the most reliable courier in my area which is a bit out in the sticks. They do tend to arrive about 5pm but it is on the day they say unlike City Link which constantly let me down.

Nice site, 44 quid for mine, very cheap :)

Mines getting to the state where its a bit chuggy in the morning starting and my mechanic keeps telling me every time I go in when he checks it to get it changed.

It's held on through winter though! But I suppose I should get one of these :)
