Doing A Project on building a computer - I need help on key terms

I am doing a project on Building A Computer for school and I was hoping whether anyone could give me some 'definitions' on some of these key terms below, I would like them to be fairly simple, so anyone can understand it.

-CPU
-GPU
-RAM
-Motherboard
-BIOS

I don't want to create another thread but can anyone tell me were I can find a processor comparison site, because I would like to compare processors, I looked at anandtech bench but not all the processors were there.
The ones I am looking to compare are:
Intel i5 3570K

Intel i5 3330
Intel i5 3550
Intel i7 3770

Without wanting to sound patronising, if you're at the stage of building a computer for a project in school you really ought to know these by now.

i dont think hes building one. hes making a project about how to do it. basically an idiots guide. find it weird given the ops sig that he doesnt know these things him self
