What would it take for you to believe in ghosts?

So would the non believers happily do a quija board in their bedroom?

Absolutely, no problem at all. A board with some letters on it and a glass eh - isn't it just amazing that these 'spirits' love em. Oh and we'll keep those fingers off the glass please, thanks. I'm sure if anything out there has anything important to say they'll find a way to do it.

Its a guy in a cloak?

Looks like a prank by one of the security guards. Funny that said ghost was very much corporeal and even though it was supposedly medieval in origin, knew that by grabbing and pulling the modern day fire exit handles that it would close the doors. Impressive!

Oh and...just why are 99.9% of all so called sightings at night time hmm.

Complete and utter cods wallop.

I saw a convincing looking video of a ghost of a man manifesting out of nothing then disappearing again.

Somebody set their video camera running in their kitchen to capture the activity in their back garden.

It was very weird and gave me goose bumps when I saw it. Funny thing is that the clip has totally disappeared and I cant find it anywhere. [Ocuk Detectives ?] :D

Not saying it was true ghost possibly a clever fake but it sure did look weird.

I've never met anyone who has claimed to see a ghost. But I've met many people who have an uncle/brother/sister who swear blind they've seen one. :p

Until I witness something myself, I call BS

An actual ghost to appear and tell me something about myself that no one else could possibly know to prove they have been spying on me.

I have the same sort of plan set out with my Mum. We agreed on a secret phrase that no one else must know about and that if one of us died and we go to a fortune teller, if they repeat the phrase then it is true that you can commune with the dead.

It would take a meta analysis of peer reviewed scientific papers to get me to accept it.

What if ghosts invaded your house at night and tortured you and your family, destroying everything in the house in the process, but when you went to tell people they blamed you and you were locked up instead of carrying out a scientific analysis?

I'd want empirical research to be undertaken in a wide range of scenarios, replicated multiple times and the papers produce to be thoroughly peer reviewed.

I wouldn't believe my own senses; it's a well documented fact that human perception is entirely unreliable.

1. physical manifestation in the clear light of day and i am of sound and sober mind.

2. Knowledge of the afterlife and information on me that would be impossible to garner via human and "alive" people :D

3rd hand peer reviewed papers can be (are) manipulated so no wouldn't do for me.

Trust your own faculties and add in a spice of skepticism and rationality = win win.

Even if I saw one I'd not automatically jump to IT'S REAL.
In fact I'd probably be more worried that I had mental health issues and was hallucinating.

Nothing in media. Having seen two in my youth, I'm not sure even seeing one in person would convince, as I doubt either was any such thing. Not convince long-term anyway. The human mind is no more reliable than photographs.
