I'm off to the GSL this year and was wondering if it's worth having the Super Theatre Seat bolt on to the standard ticket.

I'm not that fussed about watching people talk and just want to get to see as much gadgetry as I can, but if it the general feeling is that it's worth it I'll give it a go.

I've been a couple of times and quite enjoyed it - I reckon it needs to offer a lot more than what you'd find down at Currys - more cutting edge tech I say - for instance some 4K TV's and projectors for us to have a look at.

Its just a way to have expensive things thruster in our face.

Its not about gadgets at all. Every time I have been came away feeling disappointed

Yeah its pretty poor the few times Ive been - the theatres the best thing, but even thats all relative, though I did win something last year so its not all bad I suppose :)

The actual stalls are just tech related stuff you can buy pretty easily, nothing is actually really that near-future gadget which I think most of us expected from such an event...

ps3ud0

I won't be attending anymore and nor do I watch the show since it turned into Apple's little *****.

LOL I was going to ask about this. I stopped watching about 3 years ago when I realised there was no point watching a comparison guide where the product with the Apple logo won by default.

Great example of Apple bias here...

Apple has always been the defacto brand of choice for "media types", I'd bet over 90% of famous people own one so of course they will favour their phone of choice. It would be like everyone in the media driving a Ford Focus, Top Gear would feature one in every episode and bang on about how great it is.

I won some tickets so I'll be there with my family on the Friday, won't be going to the theatre bit though.

That's probably the episode I stopped watching too. IIRC there were 2 other devices that were leaps and bounds ahead in terms of their test scores yet the Apple device, which totting up the scores was 3rd was declared the winner.

I reject anything connected to Jason "Tries Too Hard At Being Geeky When In Reality He's Just a Corporate, Brand-Loving Whore Like Most People" Bradbury.

I really couldn't have put it better myself,

the guy is such a moron, he thinks he is soooooo hip with it, hiding his lisp under endless cliché's, while wearing tight jeans and stupid frames he gets from Germany.

all this for a 43 year old, who really should no better, bet his girlfriend is 19

It was alright last year, like most though did leave feeling a bit disappointed but made up for it with a 25 ounce steak in birmingham :)

I will go again just not this year.
