Can anyone with a 7950/7970 do me a favour please? Want to compare a 580 to a 7950/7970.

I'm thinking about getting either one to replace my 580 GTX but due to the improvements in the AMD driver department i'd hazard a guess that all the benchmarks and 580 vs 7950 are out of date and inaccurate.

Would anyone be able to run me some free benchmarks with either a 7950 (proffered) or a 7970 with the the best performing AMD drivers at 1920 x 1080 with x4/x8AA and x16 AF?

Have a look in the heaven 4 thread or pretty much any benchmark thread on here and u will see the results and comparisons.

Theres an official OcUK benchmark thread in the GFX forum mate. I and loads of others benched there 7900 cards. I also compared my 7950 to a 680 and a 660 non Ti

I am going to start a thread soon which will answer your questions. I am testing 12.10 WHQL vs 13.3 Beta 3 on a stock ghz 7970 + overclocked 7970 1250/1700. Testing a load of different games so you will be able to compare driver vs driver vs stock ghz speed vs overclocked 7970. I hope to have it done in the next day or two.

that might be on old ati drivers,and 7850 will happily run at 1050/1400 with no voltage adjustment,lol at the 580 power consumption though

whats your pc specs? run 3dmark11 performance preset and see what graphic score you get
