decline bench sit ups - Lower back pain

Im getting back into weights because I want to be at the peak of phyiscal fitness again like when I was younger.

Pushing myself to the limit in strength, looks, endurance is all part of that. I want to "train" my abs and my entire body to be the best it can be. Its that simple.

I love the pain, i love the feeling of being at the gym.

Being asthetically pleasing is only about 30% of the reason im getting back into it.

I fail to see why the abs machines are a problem though? I can eventually build up to more wieght than I ever could by planking or another static type of excersise.

At the moment doing lots of chest flys, and concentration curls with shrugging plates for the lats.

feels good.

My legs are popping already compared to most blokes chicken legs, so Im dont have to concentrate too hard on them right now, more upper body needs work.

wow the attitude in this sub forum stinks.

Ive looked at Freefaller and Scott Herman has a much much better physique.

So I would trust someone who has actually got to that level over someone who hasnt tbh.

Thanks for all the help, NOT.

We have given plenty of help, but you seem to want to hear something else.

Again, because someone has a good physique doesn't mean what they are saying is good advice.

Now I know you're trolling.

This must be a troll thread?

I hope it is, if not you seriously need to do some reading up! If your doing it for fitness, then you are mimicing the wrong people massively!

Needless to bet most of the people you are looking up to are on some form of roids too! I assume you eat like them too?

You need to come back down to reality and listen to the people here, Ice, Lie etc who actually compete.

OK sorry.

Compete at what though? Body building or jsut strength?

BEcause of my old sports background, my legs ARE actually quite big, lots of girls have commented on them. Lots of calf definition, big quads etc, but, its the upper body that needs more work.

I do 60miles a month of hill walking, so that was a good foundation for my legs also.

My lower is definitely far far in excess of Scott Hermans, but my top is a lot less muscular than his.

A top half along his lines and good strenght gains is enough for me. People like that Rich Piana (mutant) are just mentally ill if they think that looks good.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Op, people are trying to help, so ask for advice again, get a response, then take it from there. :p

The attitude in HERE is bad? Do you even forum.bodybuilding.com?

Were you one of those kids at school that took every bit of banter as bullying :(?

Though to be fair I'd eat Scott Herman for breakfast.

Oh no, I agree. Ive seen your pics and your a big fella and would no doubt eat him for pre-breakfast protein, but I am quite a short guy, so could never have that sort of physique.

So the Scott herman type of figure is much more like what my body could replicate, apart from his chicken legs of course, its so disproportional.

The wierd thing is that benching off a smith machine (i.e the correct way) is next to impossible for me at the moment, with any wieght at all. So i need to build up my stabilising muscles too.

I'll read up on the stuff in this section, BUT, still no one has said why that abs machine I posted is so bad?

Everyone just ripped into me, and never explained why that machine is such a problem..? It worked my abs really well. I always aim to train hard enough and with enough volume to get the "DOMS" feeling, as its a pain I enjoy.

Come on dude, you're a troll, surely?? I don't see how every post could just 'happen' to contain such a blatent troll like comment...

Either that or you really need to go back to the drawing board.

Where's the video of that short guy, who in the thingy in the cage or whatever it is, lifting competition, lifted some stupid amount?
