I just notice Ocuk are selling less GTX 680's..as some the ones I was looking at are not listed anymore...(I.e Like the MSI GTX 680 with ref cooler)

Is this because there clearing stock of there gtx 680's ready for it replacement (I.E GTX 780) ??

it probably has more to do with the fact that the non-reference cards have fallen to prices where they are only £10-20 different to reference cards, so the OC cards are outselling them anyway and they aren't restocking on slow moving stock

that'd be very cool but surely that would really undermine the titan and "titan mini" sales, so soon after they've launched?
Realistically, there is a huge gap to fill between the GTX680 @ £350 and Titan @ £800. A newer faster than GTX680 card at £400 to £500 would sell >10x as many units Titan which itself is just a willy waving limited product release.

i know they're very different in terms of price but my point was that if a new card released with even 5-10% more performance than the gtx 680 just a month after the titan's release, and more importantly at the same time as the titan mini it would really exacerbate the whole "is titan/mini even worth it?" thing that's going on. obviously i want the gtx 780 to come out if only out of curiosity but is it even feasible? i'd imagine some titan owners would be ****ed

Nothing new on the pipeline, were just keeping a small but focused range. :)

Suspect desktop 7xx series won't show until very late in the year or maybe Q1 2014.

I think a lot of people who want GTX 680 type performance would go for the GTX 670 because of the price difference. Coming from the other direction I do think the Titan has hit sales of the GTX 680 (those people who want the fastest single NVidia GPU).

I am only guessing but I think NVidia are even selling a few more GTX 690s at the moment as they tend to get caught up in any Titan publicity.

Yer, I can imagine quite a few who were/are tempted by Titan to go for the 690 after seeing performance gains. Not many triple screen gamers, so a 690 makes sense and gives great performance on a single screen.

[I am currently totally torn between the GTX 690 and Titan - I plan on eventually buying a Dell U3014 but am concerned about the lack of ram on the 690 as the main game I play is Skyrim (heavily modded). HAS to be Nvidia btw due to other reasons.

I know this is a thread onto itself (and has been discussed ad nauseum) but what would be the best advice in my situtation?

Will be gaming on a 32" 1080p screen prior to making the move to the U3014 btw.

Cheers

You could always go for a 4GB 670 or two and this will cope with any VRAM worries you have and give ~ the same performance as a 690.

Get the Titan. I still find single GPU setups less agravation than multi-GPU's, even when they are on the same PCB. I went from GTX680 to 690 and back to a 680. The main issue for me was suspend and resume crashes which occurred intermittantly with the 690 and could not be cured. A few games also felt smoother with the 680 than with the 690, Dirt being one of them. The 690 was DSR'd a few days after I got it, even though I got it for a bargain price at the time (£675 I think).

I am tempted to get a Titan now.
