Also pointless, why not live sensibly and actually try using less, recycling more etc. rather than a pointless token gesture.

But then how will I do the ironing, boil the kettle, put the washing in the machine and make sure the TV is on all night?

Because politicians respond to pointless token gestures unfortunately.

A show worldwide shows international commitment is a huge thing.

Also, Miranda Kerr will do a free yoga class if enough sign up. Yoga pants, stretching etc....

I actually think this gesture will have absolutely no impact on energy policy anywhere. There are other much more significant drivers than this.

The renewable energy switch over will happen one day. It's basic economics.

It's just all about how soon it happens now.

Had to laugh when my company sent round an email yesterday informing everyone they would be taking part in Earth Hour so the lights would be going off in the office tonight (as usual) and that if anyone was in to only use essential lights (which, given the lights are motion controlled is impossible to ignore unless you run laps of the office). What a monumental waste of time.
