Noise Dampening Kit corsair 600T

Which bit of the case is being noisy?

General fan noise from components or from the case itself? I got rid of my 600t because it was annoying. You can dremel/snip out the front fan grill to help lower the racket there.

As for the rear trim cracking when it gets warm.. nothing can be done. Well, maybe grease up the holes where the plastic pegs come through the metal..

Sound dampening in my fractal R4 works well but the loudest thing in it is a d5 pump at max, no gpu.

I love my case. Best case I've ever owned.

Why didn't you like it?

I was just wondering is the dampening kit is worth the price? Most of the noise is from the fans. some from my H80i cooler. Even if I can lower some of the sound that would help. It's not the loudest case, I've had much louder.

I couldn't bare the rear plastic shell making cracking noises when the gpus got hot (on air), that was pretty much the only major fault I couldn't fix after I cut away the front fan grill. Otherwise it was a nice case.

I moved to my rv02 because it's a nicer case imo and more conducive to modding (I've shredded out most of it)

I wouldn't rate the R4 because the quality doesn't match the 600t, but I was using it as a sound dampening example.

Edit, what fans are you using?

I got it in mine, I don't know how much it reduced the noise though as it was a new rig. The only fans I got running are the 2 low db 120mm fans on the rad, the gfx and psu.

As well as stopping the noise getting out, look at what's creating the noise ?

I'm using a BitFenix Spectre PRO 200mm in the front and the corsair stock fan on the top. I would've liked to have used the Spectre PRO 200mm on top too, but my mobo's top heatsink was in the way. It wouldn't fit.

tbh I think most of the noise is from the front fan.

I'm sure I could live with the noise, but would be nice to have it real quiet:)

The mobo tray was surely in the way for the top mounted spectre pro too? unless you dremeled it away?

For front noise, that fan is loud as hell as max but I urned it down a bit. Cutting that metal guff out from in front of it helps loads for noise.
