Galaxy Ace 2?

Anyone here have a Galaxy Ace 2? Thinking of getting one as a backup phone to use at work. Decent sized screen, Dual core CPU and only £130 on 02.

Can anyone share experiences using one please?

Bought one for my mum last month for her birthday, it's a very good phone for the price. Decent screen size and decent battery life. It's also getting 4.1 Jelly Bean soon as well which will make the device feel smoother too.

Thanks - Looked at some reviews and it seems to be the cheapest dual core phone on the market at the moment. Seems like a steal.

The CPU is also based off the A9 architecture, so similiar CPU to the one in the S2 but underclocked. Should be future proof for a good while.

Sounds good, I think I read somewhere that the CPU can be overclocked aswell, I bet that'd be a drain on the battery though.

Did you take much notice of the build quality? I know I can't expect wonders for £130 but hopefully everything is held together well and not rattly.

its a plastic samsung.. not even flagship

nothing for 130 will be good but it's not bad.. and i've had some bad phones(Zte bladE)

You may get an added bonus in that iirc o2 don't lock their phones, so that could be an epic price.

I remember the blade! Used that for ages, trusty little phone.

Will be ordering the Ace 2 though, literally don't think their's anything better for the price.

there was.. one s :eek:

for 139 if im not mistaken.. but they sold out in minutes

i had my blade for a year then gave it to my little brother who has been abusing it for another year+ now and its still going... good phone!

There was a leaked version a month ago, but I'm going to have a wild stab and say it won't offficially be released until next month/May.

Cheers - Going to get one ordered shortly.

I do have enough budget for a Nexus 4 so hope I won't regret going for the Ace 2, but literally all's I do on my phone is use Skype and text so the extra £100 and performance I feel would be useless.

In my experience it's what you're coming from that counts, moving up from my Apollo I thought my Ace was great it had a flash! Better camera and was faster with a bigger screen, when I had my Note going back to the Ace was a complete chore, if you've used better than an Ace 2 it might not meet your hopes but if you're coming from a Blade 2 it'll be great.

What a mess... Ordered the phone this morning, the transaction was declined by the bank. I called the bank, they unblocked my account, put the order back through, the funds left my account, got an email from 02 saying they cancelled my order and won't be processing it any further due to potential fraudulent activity.

Now I'm £129 down in my account and don't know how to get it back.

Went in store to purchase one (Still yet to receive my refund for the online purchase)

Very impressed with the phone for the money, the displays good considering the price, everything runs nice and smooth and JB will be very much welcome next month.

I wouldn't know because I use GiffGaff anyway which uses 02.

There are keypad codes that can tell you I can't recall or find them now though Google search and play store will be your friend, sorry.
