Asus GTX 670 DirectCU Mini

Took them long enough :p the 670 ref PCB is short anyway (is it 17cm? not sure, not far off though).

Great for those mitx enclosures though :)

I can see other makers bringing out similar cards.
Got a MATX pc & space is tight, that Asus card would be perfect.

Hmm I wouldn't be so sure, people with those space restrictions and wanting that much GPU grunt I would think is a bit niche. On the other hand however it'll allow people to build new systems with that space restriction so maybe it'll take off.

End of the day though, the more options the better :)

The reference GTX 670 PCB is only 17cm in length... the reference cooler just adds a lot of extra plastic :)
I thought I would be a matter of time (albeit long!) when a mini GTX 670 would arrive.

It's interesting that it only has one 8pin PCIE power connector !

To make it look the part.;)

Zotac announced theirs last June:

It's interesting that it only has one 8pin PCIE power connector !

That's a huge plus as it reduces the cabling footprint in tight spaces-where it's aimed at.

Nvidia has a clear win on it's hands regarding size/performance ratio, they are way, way off into the horizon from AMD in this regard, even the mighty Titan is tiny in comparison to what AMD can put out just now.

Thing about that Zotac is that you can't find it for sale anywhere. Obviously don't link on here if you can, but at the time I spent a good few hours looking and it never seemed to have actually made it to retail.

Two words. We know ;)

About 7 threads about the mini 670's have been opened lol. I prefer the PNY variant myself.

Not sure if a thread has been started with the mini though. I could be wrong and I think it was only mentioned in specific ITX threads.

Have you got a link or pic of the PNY?

One competitor had these listed as ETA unknown, and another had them listed as out of stock but £379.99.

Neither have them listed at all now. :(
